Pests in the Library - Action Plan

The Metropolitan Library System takes all reports of bed bugs seriously. Staff at our libraries inspect every item upon return for condition and routinely inspect our furnishings. We strive to keep our facilities in good condition and maintain an up-to-date collection.

Customer Appreciation Month

The managers discussed the candy and pens give-a-ways during Customer Appreciation Month.  The managers stated candy was all given out and there are pens still available.  They expressed that the customers seemed really happy receiving the give-a-ways.  

Schedule Anywhere

Denyvetta reminded everyone the November schedule should be entered utilizing Schedule Anywhere.  

Melody-ED, shared that some of the explanations in Schedule Anywhere were deleted and because this is a shared file, she asked the managers to not change any of the explanations.

Circulation Forum Minutes - August 2014

Julie welcomed attendees and reminded everyone that it is important to share Circulation Forum information with their coworkers.

Carl-X Customer Conversation Topics

The many upcoming changes will prompt questions and conversations with customers. We should try to put ourselves in their shoes and understand the changes from the customer’s point of view.  The group discussed some of the possible customer questions or concerns:
