Defined Contribution Plan – 414(h)

The Metropolitan Library Retirement plan is a Defined Contribution plan provided by Empower Retirement Solutions. The plan is a governmental plan is provided for and required of all full-time employees. Employees can either contribute 4% or 6% to the plan. Investment questions should be directed to Marcie Plumbtree ([email protected]). For personal information changes, please contact the Business Office.

Voluntary Deferred Compensation Plan – 457(b)

The Metropolitan Library System Nationwide 457(bplan is an employer-sponsored, tax-favored retirement savings account. Also known as a deferred compensation plan.  The plan is offered through the Nationwide Retirement Company and is voluntary for full-time MLS employees.

Defined Benefit Plan

The Metropolitan Library System Defined Benefit plan is a retirement pension plan for full-time employees of the library prior to August 29, 2005.  The plan is no longer offered to employees
