Annual Fee Members to Receive Letter about Increase

Much preparation has taken place to ensure staff are prepared for the changes in policies and procedures to take effect July 1. Risa Sargent (DN), Anne Fischer (IT), Cheryl Mann (DN), and Kim Terry (MaC) worked on a letter notifying our annual fee accountholders about the upcoming increase from $40 to $70 per year. The letter, shared here, is informative to our members and also provides some talking points for staff to use when discussing the increase with members.

If participation at any public meeting is not possible due to a disability, whether physical, hearing or speech related, please notify the office of the Executive Director (606-3726) at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled public meeting to allow the Library to make necessary accommodations.

AS 510.2 MLS List of Organizations Exempt from Public Space Fees

The following municipalities own the Metropolitan Library System building in their city or town and are exempt from public space fees when renting space at the library within their city/town:

AM 313 Local History Permission to Use & Fee Schedule

Policy

To assist customers with their personal, research or commercial endeavors, the Metropolitan Library System provides reproductions of items from its Oklahoma Room Collection including video, audio or high-resolution digital images.

AM 100 Borrowing

  1. To borrow materials, guests must be registered Metropolitan Library System account holders without a block on their account. Guests may not register for more than 1 account.
  2. Maximum Items Borrowed
    1. For most accounts, a maximum of 100 physical items can be on loan at once; ONEcard account holders may have a maximum of 10 physical items on loan at once.
