Life Insurance

Full time employees are provided a life insurance policy at 1.5 times their salary, up to $100,000. This is a term life policy paid 100% by the Library. This policy does have a portability option which allows employees to elect a whole-life policy after employment with the Library.

Voluntary Dependent Life Insurance

The Dependent Life policy provides life insurance for both spouse and children at a flat rate of $2.50 per month regardless of number of dependents. The spouse benefit is $5,000. The child benefit is $1,000 up to 6 months of age and $2,000 up to age 26. This voluntary benefit is paid for by the employee. This policy also has a portability option.
