CONNECT Planning Committee Minutes for January 2012

In attendance: Angela Thornton, Barbara Johnson, Barbara Beasley, Kim Edwards, Susan Hutchins, Clyde Herrod, Debbie McPherson We finalized our agenda for the next forum on March 13th.

That forum will be held at the Service Center and will include a tour and a Q & A time with Books By Mail, ILL, CAT, and Tech Processing. We spoke with Pauline Rodriguez, Heidi Johnson, and Sharon Maine and explained how the forums normally work, the expected attendance, and how we could rotate the groups in a logistically feasible manner. Heidi will be out of the office during that time period, but will help arrange for someone to coordinate the tours. The current plan is to break the attendees up into three rotating groups, with two taking a tour and the third watching a powerpoint of the history of how these groups came to be at the Service Center and how the ideas behind the Service Center were developed. We will cap attendees at 30 participants due to parking and keeping a workable number of extra people in the building.
