REPORTS

Development – Diane announced that Heidi Port is beginning to contact MLS staff members for volunteering at the Annual Book Sale.

Siobhan Morava is continuing her work on receiving sponsorships for the Summer Reading Program.

Facilities Maintenance – Out of the Office

Human Resources – Lori reported the Human Resources Department is focusing on ACA (Affordable Care Act) at this time previously known as Healthcare Reform.

MAC – Marketing is working on a video for Jones Library to showcase their fundraising efforts. The video will be in a scripted format about 3-5 minutes long and will include interviews from Jones Library visitors.

The Marketing Department won 6 Addy Awards. The eMedia commercial was amongst the winning selections. The 47th Annual Addy Awards Ceremony will take place Saturday, February 23rd at the Coca-Cola Events Center.

Kim discussed the stats from the MLS eBook commercial advertisement.

Materials & Outreach – Karen is working on the budget for Materials & Outreach.

Outreach – Out of the Office

Library Operations & Planning – Kay presented information on the 2007 - 2012 Strategic Plan at the January Commission.  Finalized highlights from the last five years were showcased in a video with feedback from our customers.  

Results from the final telephone survey were also presented.

Library Operations – Denyvetta stated the managers will help out with the Almonte move in lieu of this month’s managers meeting.

Library Operations (Headquarters) – Candace is currently working on the Safety Training Manual updates.

Construction Management – Todd is working on the lease for Southern Oaks Library.

The Construction Department has chosen 4 out of 11 architects for Capitol Hill Library. Todd will be in contact with the City of Oklahoma City to set up their interviews. The City’s goal is to have an architect under contract by mid April 2013.

Administration / Commission – Donna is working on the final details for the Almonte Grand Opening Reception set for Tuesday, February 19th. Donna visited the Almonte Library on Friday and is pleased with the carpeting, shelving and the building overall.

Finance & Support – Lloyd has sent out the budget schedule and asked for Ad Team to review and let him know if there are any changes / revisions needed.

Information Technology – Out of the Office
