Ad-Team Meeting Minutes for January 23, 2013

Human Resources – Lori reported the Human Resources Department is focusing on ACA (Affordable Care Act) at this time previously known as Healthcare Reform.

MAC – Marketing is working on a video for Jones Library to showcase their fundraising efforts. The video will be in a scripted format about 3-5 minutes long and will include interviews from Jones Library visitors.

The Marketing Department won 6 Addy Awards. The eMedia commercial was amongst the winning selections. The 47th Annual Addy Awards Ceremony will take place Saturday, February 23rd at the Coca-Cola Events Center.

Kim discussed the stats from the MLS eBook commercial advertisement.

DVS - Heidi Port Heidi Port recognized Ad Team members for their participation with MLS events over the past year.
The 2012 theme for Staff Volunteering was “All Stars.” Heidi shared stats of individuals that volunteered at MLS events. MLS had the following:

222 Heart Walkers
179 United Way Donators
78 people gave for the Food Drive
80 people gave to the Infant Crisis Center
80+ people gave books & other items for the Book Sale

eMedia commercial to air over the holidays!

To get ready for all of those eReaders Santa will be doling out soon, we will be airing a VERY COOL new commercial about our eMedia on Cox Cable, Fox and the CW networks beginning next week. The commercial is targeted to those aged 18-35 who typically buy their ebooks, not borrow them from the library. Below is the schedule the commercial will be airing. We will be sending you some eMedia how-to guides since Santa's helpline will be off the hook around the holidays. These are also available from the MAC supplies catalog.
