Downtown Café Space Update 

  • The Library System is evaluating opportunities to streamline the process for vetting possible vendors to occupy the Downtown Library café space.
  • Kay will discuss with the Committee.

Unusual Incident Reporting Proposals Update

  • The proposals were received, and Ed will touch base with the individuals on the workgroup to review the proposals.

Bethany Library Public Art

  • The City of Bethany and representatives from the Metropolitan Library System are reviewing artist’s proposals being submitted at this time for the new Bethany Public Library.

IT Purchase Requests 

  • IT has created a process for requesting items that were not budgeted, which will be shared with supervisors. 

Training Update 

  • The Library is offering a defensive driving training for those who are authorized to drive library vehicles.
  • The Slips, Trips, and Falls required 4th quarter safety training must be completed by Dec. 31st.

A&P Workgroup Update

  • The policies were approved at the Dec. 4 Administrative and Personnel Committee Meeting. They will go to the Dec. 14 Commission Meeting for final approval. 

Bethany Maker Space

  • The new Bethany Library will have a maker space. A workgroup will be established to develop a system-wide framework for maker spaces.

MLC Upcoming Meetings 

  • LRP meeting Jan. 17

Metropolitan Library System Branded Shirts

  • Marketing and Communications is in the process of searching for a new online "storefront” for branded shirts that can be purchased individually. The Lands End logo and storefront did not work as expected.
Site Feedback
