Welcome: Tricia welcomed Kenda as the new AMI at BI. All staff shared a time they were able to say “Yes” to a staff member or guest in the last few weeks. Some of the examples given included -- helping guests on computers, changing staff schedules, waiving fines for guests, offering many ways to get a library account, and accommodating guests in our Meeting Room spaces for one-off situations.

Welcome: Tricia called the meeting to order. Attendees shared micro-wins from their locations in the chat.

August Meeting Summary (Brandon): Brandon reviewed the August Communication Checklist. Clarification was given that the Gender Field has not yet been removed from Carl-X but will be removed in the future.

Emily welcomed new Adult Librarians Haley Rapacz (DN) and Johnathan Carrera (CL) to the group. 

EPS Updates 

Summer Reading – Emily 

• Steering Committee and subcommittees have started meeting to plan Summer Reading 2021

• Working on contingency plans for whatever stage we are in, should know by late spring what Summer Reading will look like

Winter Reading: Book Bingo – Teresa 

• Jan 1 – Feb 28, 2021, for adults

The meeting was called to order at 1:00, and Scott Garrison was introduced to the group. He is the new Engagement Manager overseeing children’s and family programming for the Community Libraries.
