BEFORE MEETING

  1. New member (Rogers) – Janet Brooks, Materials Selection Manager, will be joining the Leadership Team until further notice.

AGENDA ITEMS

  1. Accounting Software purchase (Lovely) – Lloyd informed the Leadership Team that the first week of interviews with the accounting firm went well. The process is currently ahead of schedule and under budget.

  2. Donor stewardship (Zeoli) – Heather would like to know how each library location/department receives a gift/donation other than books. Heather stressed the importance of properly thanking people for their donations. In order for all libraries/departments to be on the same page, Leadership Team should get with their staff and gather details on the current process. This information should be brought to Heather by the first Leadership Team meeting of January 2016.

  3. Writing contest (Dent) – OUT is in the process of creating a teen writing contest that may form a partnership with the OKC Literary Festival, taking place April 8th and 9th on the 4th floor of DN. The categories would include fiction/short story, nonfiction essay, poetry, play, and comics. The goal is to work with local schools to have at least 300 teens apply with five winners in each category. OUT has also contacted MaC about writing an article in the May issue of info Magazine. LaVetta will bring additional information and details to the Leadership Team, as well as how the writing contest will be organized at a later date.
