REPORTS

Finance & Support – Lloyd announced elevator #3 in the Downtown Library is not operating at this time. Capitol Hill Library is also having trouble with one of their elevators. These issues are currently being resolved.

Information Technology – Anne stated that she and Jimmy missed the last Ad Team Meeting to resolve issues from the power outage caused by the recent storms. Anne announced that on Wednesday, May 29th the fire alarm went off at the Downtown Library causing computer equipment to stop working. IT has ordered parts and is working on all issues at this time.

Development – Diane announced that she will receive the audit results from Razors Edge, a database used by the Development Department. Starting next week the Development Dept. will begin weekly training on various topics for their staff members who use Razors Edge. The point of training using Razors Edge is to utilize the system more effectively.

The Downtown “Learning” sculpture is scheduled to receive repairs this Saturday, by Mathew Chrysler. The repairs will be finished Saturday, but must be blocked off until Monday.

The Friends of the Library chose Mr. Henry Heirs as their new Board President for the next two years.

Diane is working on year end items as well.

Facilities Maintenance – No New Reports

Human Resources – The Human Resources Department is working on open enrollment.

Lori announced that she will not be in her office this Friday through next Wednesday. She is attending the National Human Resources Conference in Chicago, Illinois.

MAC – The Marketing Department is working on Summer Reading editorial and advertising plans for next year. Their plans are to focus more on digital media than print in the next year.

Marketing is working on designing a new book drop for the Midwest City Library.

Materials & Outreach – Karen is primarily working on end of year items. No other new reports.

Outreach – Dana handed out the Summer Reading Game – Week 2 sign-up results. She stated the numbers are slightly down from last year’s totals primarily due to recent storms.

  • Teens – 2,167

Grand Total = 13,929 sign-ups    Last Year (Wk 2) Total = 15,120

Dana also added that the Neighborhood Arts program is going well.

Library Operations & Planning – Out of the Office

Library Operations – Denyvetta is still working trying to find managers for the Choctaw and Village Libraries. Everything else is running smoothly.

Library Operations (Headquarters) – Candace is working on the Staff Recognition Dinner scheduled for Saturday, October 26th at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

Administration / Commission – Donna stated that the City of Oklahoma City has asked for storm damage totals so they can submit the information to FEMA. Donna is currently collecting this information.

Donna is also working on 5 Commission reappointments.
