Database Highlight #39: We've got the Educational Video for That

Poetry, taxes, and…autism! This month is Autism Awareness Month a.k.a. Minecraft Awareness Month. Despite growing numbers of children being identified on the spectrum, not much is known about this neurological disorder. Keeping up with the latest research can be daunting but this week’s database highlight, Access Video on Demand, offers hundreds of videos on educational topics, including autism, from producers like ABC, TED, PBS, HBO, and more.

Metro MakerSpace: What's in a Name?

Wanted: Your Creativity

Why: We need a name for “potential” MakerSpace rooms at Metro, the first of which will be located in the new Bethany Library.

Background: A committee has been working on system guidelines for MakerSpaces, and one of the topics is what to name the space. The committee recommends using the same name for any MakerSpace areas that are developed in the future. The team agreed that we have a lot of staff members who are very creative, so we would like to hear your suggestions for naming the space!
