SOaP Update

I wanted to thank the entire staff for offering ideas and providing feedback to the Strategic Outline and Principles (SOaP) document. As you know, this document will be at the heart of our strategic efforts for more than the next few years, and will also drive out annual tactical and business plans. Because of its importance, we devoted a good deal of organizational time and effort to develop it in a way that sets us up for success.

4th Quarter Safety Training

Safety training for the 4th Quarter covers slips, trips, and falls.  This required training must be completed by Thursday, December 31.  The online training can be accessed by going to the “My Required Learning” section in Metro U and clicking on the Slips, Trips, and Falls link.

Announcements: FLSA Exemption and Lead Librarians

As some of you probably know, the Library's senior leadership and the Human Resources department have been working on a couple of things that will affect many of you. The first, moving a number of positions to "Exempt" status will change the way Librarians and a number of other positions account for and record their time and get paid.  The second item, the creation of the Lead Librarian position, will represent the final piece of the organizational restructuring that started with Project Kaleidoscope.

ATTENTION: All full time correspondents with family health coverage

We have been notified there was an error in the payroll for 05/28/15. The deduction for family health in the amount of $104.15 was not deducted from your paycheck.
Due to this error, the deduction of $104.15 will be deducted on your 06/11/15 paycheck in addition to the normally scheduled deduction of $192.01.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
