Omnigo Incident Reporting Software Purchased

As some of you may know, we recently purchased a new incident reporting system, Omnigo. It will be a more centralized process for filing reports and analyzing them. Staff will be able to see reports filed at all locations. And it will be easier for Security to gather more in-depth automated data and reports system-wide. We expect to launch the new system and training after Summer Reading, possibly in September.

Make Room for Kanopy Kids!

Metro’s streaming video service, Kanopy, has launched an entirely new collection just for kids!

Kanopy Kids highlights films and TV series that help children develop empathy, mindfulness, and self-esteem through entertaining and educational videos.

Database Highlight #41: We've got the Comic for That

This week’s highlight is one of the few collections anyone in Oklahoma County can access without a library card. Biblioboard’s Dark Horse collection features classic Dark Horse comics like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hellboy, and Usagi Yojimbo. The collection can be access through the web or by downloading the Biblioboard app for iOS, Android, and KindleFire.

Database Highlight #40: We'll go International for That

This week’s database highlight, Global Road Warrior, asks “Where do you want to go?” The question can be answered by accessing travel guides for over 200 countries. Select from an alphabetical list, using the map, or search with a keyword and return a complete travel guide right on your screen or in your mobile browser! This database is great for school country reports as well.

Summer Reading School Mailing Update

This past Tuesday, EPS and staff from around the system helped to package over 152,000 Summer Reading postcards for schools in our service area!
