Lee B. Brawner Scholarship applications for the Fall 2013 semester will be accepted by the Human Resources Office through August 9, 2013.
 
Full-Time employees who have successfully completed the six month performance appraisal period prior to the beginning of the fall semester are eligible to apply.  Details of the scholarship program and application forms are available on the INTRANET under Human Resources > Benefits > Scholarships.
 

As LaVetta Dent, Jana Hausburg and Julie Ballou shared at the May 2013 Manager of Library Operations meeting, there is a newly formed committee, convened on an as-need basis at the request of the Deputy Executive Director of Library Operations.  The committee’s goal is to assist managers in managing the library resources by reviewing both direct and indirect costs, reviewing current procedures, identifying new approaches and developing tools and guidelines.  The name of the committee is PIE (Procedures and Implementation, Evolved).

On Friday, May 3, several roads around the Edmond Library will close. Boulevard from 2^nd St to Danforth and 1^st Street from Littler to Boulevard will be closed from 10am to 1:30pm to accommodate a walking processional for the funeral of Edmond Firefighter John Werhun at the First Christian Church. Also, because of the Edmond Arts Festival, Broadway will be closed throughout the entire weekend as well as 1^st street from Broadway to Littler.
