Are you a part-time staff member? Both part-time and full-time staff are eligible to apply for the Donna Morris Scholarship.

Applicants for the Lee B. Brawner Scholarship must be full-time staff.

Lee B. Brawner Scholarship applications for the Fall 2013 semester will be accepted by the Human Resources Office through August 9, 2013.
 
Full-Time employees who have successfully completed the six month performance appraisal period prior to the beginning of the fall semester are eligible to apply.  Details of the scholarship program and application forms are available on the INTRANET under Human Resources > Benefits > Scholarships.

Materials Services Division Managers' Meeting Minutes for December 14, 2006

Technical Processing update – Heidi

So far, the runs in December have been on average 735 labels per day which is a slight increase compared to last month’s 698 labels. Technical Processing currently receives an average of 38 boxes of materials a day which is a decrease from last month’s average of 44. TP received 145 boxes from UPS the day following the two days the library was closed due to inclement weather.
TP is current on processing rush materials and is processing non-rush materials from the run brought to TP five days ago.
Several staff took vacation days between the end of November and now, and several more staff have scheduled some days off around the Christmas holidays.

Ad-Team Meeting Minutes for May 2001

B.J. Williams played a video of the upcoming Summer Reading Program PSA that was filmed at Southern Oaks using children from a nearby school.

Auctioning surplus furniture: Anne Hsieh reported the we will be auctioning surplus furniture from refurbished libraries May 24th. We have hired Dakil to conduct the auction. This provides a warehouse with enough space to lay out all the furniture, which is currently in portable storage units. Staff will be given the opportunity to view the furniture for two days in order to choose furniture they need for their work areas. Dates will be announced as soon as finalized.

Food For Fines: Judy Walden reported that the Food For Fines Committee had its first meeting. The committee developed a general philosophy/approach and various components that need to be in place for the project. Targeted time period for the project is the week of August 13th. The committee identified several questions for the Food Bank.
