  • Waiting on install date for Downtown (DN) camera project.
  • Quotes in progress for DN alarm system upgrade.

RD-Mark

  • Capitol Hill (CH) – Kids Cafe – finalizing planning.
  • DN – Hiring process for ALM2 – reference check stage.
  • Southern Oaks (SO) – Dolly Day party on Sunday, 1/19, drew at least 150 people and was a lot of fun!
  • SO – HVAC – major project coming late 2025; covering meantime with heaters and portable A/C units when the weather warms up.
  • Wright (WR) – Potential name change; 100th anniversary coming fall 2025.

RD-Erin

  • We are looking at a start time at the end of March/beginning of April for Ralph Ellison (RE) shelving installation. We’ll be setting a meeting time to discuss plans with the departments in February. The City has started on some of the projects that they are working on also.
  • RE is also having a Paint Your Partner’s Portrait Party Feb 13th for Valentines Day.
  • Northwest’s (NW) Edgar Alan Poe/Dolly Parton Birthday Bash went well this year, and we had over 140 attendees.
  • The new Community Libraries (CL) Library Manager should be starting on February 17th.
  • Midwest City (MC) has started a D&D Club for Beginners.
  • Warr Acres (WA) had a Bedazzle Your Boot take home kit for Dolly Day.
  • Del City (DC) is continuing their Culture Crew program in February.

RD-Tracie

  • Edmond (ED) Sorter is installed and operational.
  • ED confirmed author event with Mary Ninh (Patient Ninja series) 5/27.
  • Village (VI) will be hosting a Dog Man Party 1/29.
  • Central Information Services (CIS) is confirming tax help locations .

OES

  • Dolly Day was a big success—big events at NW and SO with 140+ people at each; 220 take-home kits given out by SO onsite & to local schools to promote 1/19 event; storytime and craft events at WA DN, and Luther (LU).
  • Winter Reading – we're halfway through, don’t forget to log your reading!
  • Interviews for Adult Services Manager Friday and Outreach Librarian interviews soon.

COO

 

  • SO 50th Anniversary Celebration - Tree Request.

CSD

  • No current backlog at Service Center; still seeing some post COVID stock issues with vendors- if you notice a title with holds has been on order a while and is a few weeks past publication date, you can email Collection Development.
  • Chilton’s online database trial in February; more information in Shelf Life.
  • Aspen down 3 times within 10 days due to problems on the vendor side; discussions ongoing with vendor regarding outages; contact IT if full Aspen outage.
  • Joining the next GSM meeting to discuss properly receiving totes during delivery.

FAC

  • Exploring options for SO HVAC equipment.
  • MC chiller passed inspection.
  • Trucks back in service; catching up on backlog of projects.
  • DN staff lounge refrigerator process (clean-out 4th Friday of the month)
    • Kudos to Jason W. for cleaning out the refrigerators.

CAP PROJ

  • RE Sidewalk Replacement/Project Update.
  • RE roofing project starting in February.

CPO

 

  • Wellness Screening clinic at NW rescheduled for March 6, 1:00 p.m.- 3:45 p.m.
  • Form 1095-Cs have been approved and will be available to staff in February.
  • Completed Communications Intranet content review project.
  • No NEO on Monday, February 3, 2025.
  • Reminder to check exempt staff leave requests for Unexpected Closure and Telework.

CTO

 

  • NW Sorter & AV installs.
  • Restoration of guest Wi-Fi ongoing.  Service was restored around 3 PM.
