  • Shelf Life with a video of new CEO Jason Kuhl will be sent out today.
  • Departments have been assigned homework for the new Intranet implementation.

DVS

  • The LET received a $34,000 gift from an ED donor.
  • The FOL membership campaign starts today and ends on January 31.

CR

  • OLA & ODL offering orientation for new members of the state legislature.
  • New legislative bills introduced that may impact school libraries & daycares.

CFO

 

  • Email regarding updates to investment options in Empower to go out today
  • Travel reimbursement training - Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 10:00 AM-11:00 AM – Zoom
  • Please evaluate your budgeted purchases/projects for the 2025 budget cycle and make sure they are complete before year end.
  • Please review your planned purchases for your Commission Special funds and make sure they are utilized before year end.
  • The DN staff parking passes are paid for by the month. If a staff member is not using their parking card for more than a month, please notify the Business Office to inactivate it.

  • DN camera system upgrade to take two weeks. Dennis will notify staff when work is scheduled to begin. NW camera upgrade will be next.

  • Returning from leave and working through emails.

  • California Humanities grant not moving forward. ED will be doing cultural programming in partnership with UCO.
  • The Muskogee Creek Freedmen Museum will provide displays and programming for Black History Month.
  • The roof is done at the Village Library.

OES

  • Winter reading logistics and support continue
  • SR planning continues
  • Dolly Day prep/logistics; Dolly Day official day is 1/16, large events at SO/NW on Dolly’s Birthday Sun. Jan. 19. Butterfly stickers and Dolly bookmarks were sent to all locations. Promotion running in Metro Magazine.
  • Basecamp training w/ COM- piloting use with Summer Reading

  • NW & ED sorter project
  • Coordinate furniture moves/carpet cleaning (need 24 hours to dry)
  • Strategic Plan- survey and staff involvement

CSD

  • Collection Development is considering moving to digital form for library annual visit feedback forms.

FAC

  • The inspection of the Midwest City chiller should be completed this week.
  • Maintenance staff working on taking down the Downtown holiday decorations.

CAP PROJ

  • The Village Library roof is done; some additional work is pending.
  • The Midwest City chiller is installed but not 100% complete.

CPO

 

  • On-site Wellness Screenings are being held January 6-9 at eleven locations. Staff can register through the Total Wellness portal.
  • Fall semester scholarship reimbursement requests are due today.
  • Spring semester applications for the Lee B. Brawner and Donna Morris scholarships are due today.
  • The first-quarter safety and cybersecurity training courses were successfully launched on January 2, with a completion deadline of March 31. There are no HR compliance training requirements for January.
  • The recruitment team will participate in the Martin Luther King Coalition Job Fair on January 20.

  • Review of Unexpected Closure Procedure
    • Notify the Unexpected Closure Group in Group Me for all planned and unplanned closures occurring on short notice (less than 72 hours before closure).
    • Notify Unexpected Closure Group in Group Me to reopen any closed facilities.
    • Post in Group Me acknowledging notification and when assigned tasks are completed.
  • Review of Phishing Simulation results
  • Update on Downtown Computer table replacement
  • Update on Sorter installs at Edmond and Northwest
  • Planning for Sorter expansion at the Service Center
