Shoutout to Kim and others for Magic and Merriment. We donated 2000 books and book bags. The kids really enjoyed the books and meeting Spoticus.

- Project Management – Basecamp adoption strategy (used by Comm and L&D) asking all departments to use Basecamp as well.

- $7,000 unrestricted gift to NW – working with Erin and Courtney on expenditure

- Planning Friends’ Book Crawl for 7/11/25 and FY26 meeting dates
- Since 10/2022 (inception) to present: 22,529 children have been served by the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program in Oklahoma County

- Conference reimbursement training coming in January
- Vendor maintenance is underway. Vendors who have not been used for greater than two years or who have out of date paperwork will be made inactive until they can be updated.
- Reminder – donations/keep the change should be entered as donations on the POS. No other sales/fines/miscellaneous items should be posted as donations. Any donations over $20 that would like a receipt should be directed to DVS.

- Several locations had issues over the weekend with their fire alarm panels, due to an outage by US Monitoring. Systems restored at approximately noon.
- NW had a leak in the riser room where Maintenance and Vendor OKFPD were dispatched to repair the control valve.
- It’s the holidays – always be situationally aware at work or in any public setting.

- Magic & Merriment wrap-up – absolute success! Spoticus was a huge hit! Public Strategies thanks us all. Comments from attendees: many “we love Metro/the library/Libby. Metro has the best eAudio Book collection! We love imagination library—our older kids are signed up.” 1293 attendees
- OES Hiring/staffing update – extended search for Outreach Librarians due to low response; Emily out from 12/11/24 for @ 6 weeks

- Christmas decorations at DN are brightening community spirits, more plans for replacements and upgrades next year.
- Bed Bugs – problems ongoing. Discussing what to do with furniture in the future. Document “Pests in the Library” moving that document to the new intranet. Possibly a need for a committee to assist with ongoing pest issues.
- Northwest Water Incident Hotwash/After Action Report. Follow up and remediation occurring. Fire protection can be off while building is occupied, discussion.
- Edmond is not participating in the naming of the new building. We will be working on that.
- RE roof work to commence soon.
- ED2 work ongoing, pouring concrete soon.

- HUM processed 387 merit increases and bonuses for 12/12/24 pay date. Please encourage your staff to review their pay stubs and direct any questions to HUM-Elizabeth or Kelley.
- On December 10, the recruitment team will be attending Civics Day at the state capital. On January 20, the team will participate in the MLK Job Fair at Douglass High School.
- The following training courses are due 12/31/24: Diversity 101, Winter Reading, Hazardous Communication, and Social Engineering.
