Core Values, Mission, Vision

Larry led discussion again on Mission, Vision, and Core Values showing plans to obtain data regarding getting community feedback on the Library’s direction, SF 700.2 goals, 2018 strategic plan

 

Department Updates

Business Office, Development & Volunteer Services

  • SF 700 Gifts, Sponsorships and Grants
  • Charisse—Budget data base sent out, Changes to travel procedure, individuals receiving a Cell phone reimbursement will no longer need to turn in invoices, will be automatic, instated Manager on the Go in PayCom app

 

Human Resources, Learning & Development

  • Milissa shared a proposal for future customer service training for all staff. Discussion followed. Milissa will revise and bring forward again.
  • Need topic on May ExChange

 

IT

  • Restart of Tech Support Group Plan – Anne shared the preparation for developing the plan, the scope of the group, and how frequently meetings will occur
  • Anne and Risa shared what they have learned about checking out experience passes in the future
  • Working with ADG on needs for the Belle Isle Temp location
  • Preparing for the move back to Edmond
  • Worked out some problems CIS was having with their phone software

 

Operations, Maintenance, Security, Marketing

  • Security manager is in hiring process
  • Marketing changes
  • Edmond looking to build Library #2
  • Land for Almonte purchased
  • All books loaded and sent to the fair grounds.

  • Ahead of processing backlog

  • Summer Reading
  • Customer needs analysis

 

Public Services and Libraries, CIS, Access

  • Risa— Statues at DN in the children’s area are to be refurbished
  • Public art in Edmond has been selected by the city
  • Erin—Town of Luther has submitted a video application for an HGTV show to revitalize their main street
  • LaVetta—City of Bethany will be using the library meeting room for city council meetings
  • Chris—July Leap program has launched
  • March 3rd is legislative day
  • MLS will be well-represented at the Judicial Center
  • Del City Library may be named after a former mayor
