NEW ITEMS
REASONABLE BREAK TIME FOR NURSING MOTHERS – RIC
Ric handed out copies of the Federal Health Reform and Nursing Mothers. The act was signed in to law on March 30, 2010. Questions and Discussion followed.
PRELIMINARY BUDGET DISCUSSION – LLOYD
Lloyd reviewed the preliminary budget and highlighted the main changes from the previous year’s final budget. Questions and Discussion followed.
REPORTS
ADMINISTRATION/COMMISSION – Donna passed around a thank you card she received fromPat Weaver-Meyer for hosting the OLA event.
Donna reported several commission members are up for reappointment this year.
Donna and Todd will be meeting with the City Manager and Assistant City Manager of Edmond tomorrow.
FINANCE & SUPPORT – Lloyd reported the surplus ale will be Friday, June 4.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – Anne reported the annual Information Technology report has been completed and will be included in the June Commission packet.
DEVELOPMENT – Diane reported the Ralph Ellison Public Arts committee has selected three finalists. They will be scheduling dates for each of the finalists to come in and present their work.
Diane reported the Endowment Trust is looking into considering other venues for the Literary Voices author event for next year.
HUMAN RESOURCES – Ric reported the vacancy report was emailed last week.
This year’s theme for Focus will be Wellness.
OUTREACH – Dana reported Summer Reading has begun.
Dana has been working on Adult Reading Program “BookFest” which will be geared towards adults between the ages of 19 & 54 and will run through the month of October.
LIBRARY OPERATIONS (HEADQUARTERS) – Candace reported the Dead Center Film Festival will be Downtown next Saturday, June 12.
