Assignments Review
Café Committee – Candace reported she has received an OK from the health department and is waiting on the building permit.
Service Center – Todd reported he is meeting daily with the selected architect to move forward.
REPORTS
FINANCE & SUPPORT – Lloyd reported the retirement meetings are taking place this week at various library locations and times.
DEVELOPMENT – Ernestine provided some statistical information from the recent booksale. She expressed her appreciation for all the help from volunteers and staff.
HUMAN RESOURCES – Ric stated he hopes to have a contract award on the March commission agenda for performance evaluation study.
The benefits fair will take place on April 5 at St. Luke’s.
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS – Kim reported she has received good responses on the Oklahoma Images bookmarks.
Kim recently met with Emily and Lisa to begin preparations for the Summer Reading program.
MATERIALS & OUTREACH – Karen reported she is currently working on vendor evaluations and is still looking for a bindery.
OUTREACH – Dana reported Winter Read Fest is going very well.
LIBRARY OPERATIONS & PLANNING – Kay reported the new reference desk for the Village Library will be installed soon. It will be similar to the reference desk at Southern Oaks.
Kay is currently working on the strategic plan and some policies and procedures.
LIBRARY OPERATIONS – Denyvetta reported the 2nd rotation of assistant managers will be beginning soon.
The Manager’s retreat will be next Wednesday and will include staff from Tulsa and Pioneer Library Systems.
LIBRARY OPERATIONS (HEADQUARTERS) – Candace commented on the great artwork currently being displayed in the atrium of the Downtown Library. The artwork comes from the Putnam City School District.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT – Todd reported Donna, Lloyd, Jimmy, and Todd will be meeting with the City this afternoon regarding the Northwest Library. He is hopeful to be able to purchase land in July and to hire an architect in July or August.
ADMINISTRATION/COMMISSION – In Donna’s absence, Dana reminded Ad Team to further review the staff association survey responses and send any questions or comments to Donna. The discussion will continue at the next Ad Team meeting.
