The Oklahoma Department of Libraries has once again selected EBSCO Information Services to provide the statewide reference databases for all schools and libraries in the state. The new contract goes into effect on October 1, 2017, and can be extended for up to five years.

Here's what you need to know right now:

There’s no database highlight this week because there’s no good database providing the answers to a problem staff and members know all too well. This week is Suicide Prevention Week. Chances are you or someone you care about has been affected. Many struggling are MLS members.

Libraries often report being asked for help creating a resume. This week’s database highlight, Cypress Resume, walks users step by step through the process of building their resume. Unlike Word Templates, which can be filled with trick formatting, Cypress Resume prompts users to enter the right information and even links them to a job description so they have an easier time listing the proper experience.
