Yesterday, the Downtown Library and the Service Center had visitors from the 2012 Matrix Camp. Matrix Camp is a week-long event that provides middle school-aged Oklahomans the opportunity to learn more about libraries and librarians sponsored by the Oklahoma Library Association. After much discussion and input, a new process for requesting and distributing monies from the Friends for special projects is beginning.  In the past staff and libraries would request funds from the Friends prior to the budget input cycle. Along with trying to determine the needs at a library for the upcoming year, we were asking that you also try to identify special projects that might be appropriate to ask for the Friends to fund.

Over the past month we have discussed on the MyMetrolibrary forums the four responses and eight goals we are considering for our next Strategic Plan. I find it extremely beneficial and exciting to be able to hear from others on the forums and thank each person who has contributed. Based on my understanding of those discussions, the following is a draft of the responses and goals. Do you have any suggestions as we work to finalize this draft?
