Understanding the Strategic Framework

I want to help everyone understand the strategic framework and to learn more about the next steps in the process. I created a video to discuss the framework: what it is, why it is needed, how it will work, and the next steps in the process of implementing it.

Morgan – Updating Strategic Plan for FY19

Morgan recently sent out an update to the strategic plan.  In the interests of the Commission looking for measures to indicate we are meeting points on the plan, she would like 3-10 metrics that set the standards for departments or divisions.  Once the metrics are determined, Morgan and Jennifer will work on a data collection plan to be ready to use January 1st..   Morgan would like the metrics to be sent in to her by the end of September and will send out an email with those expectations.

The other day we had a question from a colleague about the difference between Development and Volunteer Services (DVS) and Organizational Development for Metro Library. How can we simply explain the difference? Development and Volunteer Services is about developing financial resources beyond tax dollars in order to help our libraries grow. We also develop relationships through volunteers and the community to support our libraries.
