Welcome: Tricia welcomed the group and introduced new managers Daniel Chesney, Brandt Sterling, and Elicia Medaris to the group. Tricia asked each person in attendance what they would like to learn more about or see developed by TLC as it applies to CARL.Discovery, CARL.X, or CARL.Connect. 

Winter Reading (Kristin Williams, OES): Kristin stated that supplies have gone out to all branches.  This year the Bingo cards will be in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese (online only). We were encouraged to make sure all our staff create their own Beanstack account, and their accounts were set up using their metrolibrary.org account. Books by Mail customers will receive different prizes due to shipping costs. Bingo cards are not required to participate. The grand prizes have been changed to Bluetooth Noise Canceling Headphones.

TLC (Risa Jensen-Jones and Tricia Andrews): Tricia shared information about TLC priorities. Risa shared the top 10 priorities from TLCU. Tricia shared development coming in 2023, mostly to CARL.Connect as well as the TLC Roadmap with development to come. Tricia went over the timeline for releases and the steps it takes for MLS to go live with a new release from TLC.

Hold Receipt Feedback (Tricia Andrews): Tricia indicated that if no data was collected mark it “no data”.  Data must be entered by 9pm tonight. Tricia asked for verbal feedback about the receipts; feedback was positive. Data will be shared once it’s compiled and evaluated.

System Updates (Risa Jensen-Jones, PSA):

  • Several administration positions will be posted in January with several positions will be re-posted.
  • MLS hopes to expand the Experience Passes Program to new organizations.
  • The new Learning Management System, Metro University, launches on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
  • Friends of the Library will increase prices at the book sale.
  • In the previous week, meetings were held to gather feedback on ED2. Multiple stakeholders were included and the meetings were productive.
