Automated Emergency Calling System

For any future emergency library closure, MLS will use an automated notification system that will alert staff via their choice of communication: text, phone, email.  To expedite the behind the scenes needs to implement this, we need for each employee to complete the form located below today.

At the last Managers of Library Operations meeting on November 13,2013, we covered the topic of positivity.  During the discussion, someone presented the idea of the libraries having a work day in which there is no negativity...no gossip...at all...just for a day.  A day where we put other's feelings, needs and considerations on the same level as our own. The group got very excited about the idea and overwhelmingly agreed it try it out.

Zinio Updates - November 21, 2013

Thursday morning 11/21/13, a significant release to the RBdigital Gateway for Zinio for Libraries will go into full production on all library sites.

Upward Transitions, formerly Travelers Aid of Oklahoma City

Please share with any staff that might issue library cards

Upward Transitions, formerly Travelers Aid of Oklahoma City moved in August from 1033 N Walker to 1134 W Main.  Since no one is able to live at this location or at the Oklahoma City’s day shelter at 1724 NW 3 the customer has to be able to show two acceptable forms of ID using another address to show eligibility for a library card.  They may use 1724 NW 3 or 1134 W Main as a Special Mail address only.  If you have any question please feel free to call me.
