M.E.T.R.O. Way Training Jan. 24

A M.E.T.R.O. Way training will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Capitol Hill from 4:30 to 5:30 PM.

Anyone who has not yet attended M.E.T.R.O. Way training is encouraged to attend. Supervisor approval is required for all attendees.

If you plan to attend, no sign-up is required, but remember to sign in at the event.

Bobby Reed will be the trainer for this session.

Hello Staff,

We are looking to replace our existing calendar and meeting room software.  We have created the Calendar & Meeting Room (CMR) Workgroup to evaluate prospective solutions.    To help us understand the needs of new software, we need input from you, our staff, on your satisfaction with our current systems and how those systems could be approved.

Happy New Year! One week in and the gyms are packed with people eager to get healthy in the new year. Running on a treadmill or working that stair machine can get tedious so many people bring along a set of headphones. Music can be motivating and audiobooks are engaging! Fire up hoopla and checkout a music album or a downloadable audiobook.

Staff Association Event: Kids Fest 2018

The sign-up form is now available for staff to get a ticket to Kids Fest on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Cox Convention Center. Kids receive free admission to kids fest. Additional adult tickets can be purchased on their website for $7 per ticket.

Open to All Staff: Access and Engagement Series Starting Jan. 9

There will be a series of meetings open to all staff to discuss the Access and Engagement Model, starting Tuesday, Jan. 9th at 9:00 AM at Midwest City Library.

The meetings will include a presentation and breakout discussions over the Access and Engagement Model. The meetings with be 1-hour long. The first open session is Jan. 9th at 9:00 at Midwest City Library. Those interested in attending will need to speak with their supervisor.

Commission: Nominating Committee Jan. 8 and Executive Committee Jan. 10

The Nominating Committee Meeting is Monday, Jan. 8 at Belle Isle Library at 4:00 PM and the next Executive Committee Meeting is Wednesday, Jan. 10 at the Downtown Library at 3:00 PM.

Applications for the Lee B. Brawner and Donna Morris Scholarships for the Spring 2018 semester are being accepted through Jan. 6 2018.

Are you a part-time staff member? Both part-time and full-time staff are eligible to apply for the Donna Morris Scholarship.

Applicants for the Lee B. Brawner Scholarship must be full-time staff.
