Access Workshop Series Revamp

In July, a workgroup consisting of Nicole Sump-Crethar (NW-LM), Daniel Chesney (WA-EM), Jared Johnson (BE-AM2), Carmen Stoneking (CL-AM2), Kevin Sendall (MC-AM1), Milissa Copeland (L&D), and Tricia Andrews (PSA) have been working to revamp the access workshop series.

We sought feedback from Library Management Team in August and began working on crafting the new access workshops.

We have some updates we’d like to share with all staff:

We want to make sure everyone feels empowered, valued, and safe to be their whole selves at work. One way we do this is through inclusive and respectful communication with our coworkers and guests. The Inclusive Language Guide takes approximately 25(m) to 35(m) to complete.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for Oklahoma County

This week marked the launch of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for Oklahoma County. Thanks to funding from the Friends of the Library and the Library Endowment Trust, this monthly book gifting program for children 0-5 is now available for families in our service area.
