Hold Slips Update

Thank you to the libraries and staff at the Service Center who participated in the February testing of hold slips. Data from the baseline study in November/December 2022 were compared to the hold slip data submitted for the week of February 13. Here are the takeaways based on the data submitted:

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Toolkit!

Hello! March brings 8,450 children registered for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for Oklahoma County.

To support program growth and awareness we have created a toolkit for daycares/schools/caregivers. Staff can also access this toolkit on our website or access the documents in the toolkit via DVS's documents and forms section on the Intranet.

CARL Statistics Language Update

The "MakerSpace" wording in CARL under "Statistics" has been renamed to "Waiver".

With the launch of the Gardening Grant and Library of Things tools and tool kits, we want to have one generic place in CARL to track the waiver. Staff are still directed to ONLY use “Waiver” if they have a guest in front of them wanting to checkout a gardening tool/kit or use the Makerspace. Staff are still responsible to enter the approved waivers into the MLS Waiver User Agreement List Excel File to ensure we’re properly using the “Waiver” field in CARL.
