Adult Services Minutes for November 2004

Anita passed around the sign-up sheet for next year's meetings. She also gave out labels she got from the Lifetime Reader's list, so you can do a mailing. She also handed OASIS brochures for program ideas.

Marion LeCrone from Friends of the Library spoke about getting Friends' Grants. She discussed what grants were approved and why and gave examples of well-written grants. The deadline for submitting a grant is April 30, and the Ad Committee meets in June to discuss and decide. If you're interested, don't hesitate to apply. Call Marion with any questions. If you do get a grant, be sure to credit the Friends and use their logo. It is on the clip art/flyer template. Marion also gave out brochures, so people could join the Friends.

Adult Services Minutes for September 2004

Anita passed around a programmer’s list requesting correction and/or additions to names of program coordinators for each location.

MOVIE LICENSING AGREEMENT:
Anita presented a letter from Doug in marketing stating that our movie license is official. Starting September 1, 2004 we can show any movie (VHS or DVD) in our library with the exception of movies from 20th Century Fox and recorded movies from the TV. There is one major restriction with this agreement: We are not allowed to advertise any movie by title in the outside media. For further details or question please contact Doug in marketing.

Adult Services Minutes for May 2004

Darlene Browers was welcomed to the group as a new DN Adult Programmer. We’re glad to have you with us Darlene!

Lifetime Readers:
Anita passed around the final number of the readers in the program. As well as how to place the information on the MLS Room Manager. A sample sheet was passed out for clarity. The total participants were 711.
The Metro magazines will be mailed out by marketing for those that indicated they wanted them mailed to their home. June will be the first month they will be mailed out. Jeanne from MAC said her goal is for them to arrive by the 1st of the month.

Adult Services Minutes for March 2004

Dana Morrow: Words of Wisdom & Encouragement:

Dana reiterated that we all need to double check the programs as we enter then into the calendar and Room Scheduler. It is very easy to make small mistakes.
DN Library is coming along in it’s progress.
Kapoot Clown Theatre is coming up. It’s a family fun program, but is recommended for ages 7 and up. Younger children may get frightened.
