Adult Services Minutes for October 2006

Robbin Davis from the Oklahoma History Center gave us a quick verbal tour of the new facility. She shared that the History Center offers some living history programs at no cost. If you need to contact her, the phone number is 522-0754.

Jim Garling, musician, has put together some cowboy & western music programs for all ages that we can schedule for the Centennial year events. He presents 30-45 minute shows and also works as a “stroller” at larger events. His phone is 306-4182.

Darlene was asked to share her experiences at the Public Libraries Association (PLA) meeting in Boston. Key items Darlene shared were:

Darlene encouraged MLS librarians to participate in conferences because of practical and positive benefits

Attendance at conferences enriches understanding of other places, libraries, and library issues
