Access Services Minutes - September 15, 2020

Welcome: Tricia called the meeting to order. She reviewed the ground rules, Zoom meeting expectations, and introduced the guests.

Issuing New Library Cards in CIS (Tim): Tim shared the process CIS uses to issue library cards to customers if they are unable to access the internet or if the online form is not working.

EPS Summer Reading Feedback (Emily, Kristin): Several branches shared positive feedback about sign-ups and the simplified prize process.

Wins: Each attendee shared their current wins at their library to promote positivity, encouragement, and things we are looking forward to at work. This will be continued.

Welcome: Tricia called the meeting to order, then went over the ground rules and Zoom meeting expectations.

Wins (Breakout Room) – Each attendee was given the opportunity to talk about wins at their location, during a small group breakout session.

May Meeting Summary (Meghan) – Review of the agenda topics and action items from May 26th AM meeting.

Claims Never Had (Tricia) – Discussion about the proper use of Claims Never Had.

Welcome: Tricia called the meeting to order and welcomed the group. She went over Zoom meeting expectations.

 

Summer Reading (Emily-EPS): Emily shared Summer Reading information with the group.

Wins (Breakout Room): Small group discussion was held to share wins at each location.

January Meeting Summary (Meghan): Discussed the January 2020 Access Manager Meeting takeaways and action items.

Access Services Minutes - May 08, 2020

Tricia

Missing Pieces: 

  • Process missing pieces as usual.
  • All returned materials still need to be directed to the book return. 
  • If a customer is returning a disc, staff may give the customer a case to put it in and have them write their name or library card on a sticky note to go with the item.  Staff should let customers know that the library will process the items in 3 days.
  • Collection Development waiting 3 days to process interoffice mail.

Macros and Templates:

  • Discussed the following reports in CARL.X: Items by Status Lost, Tracer, Claims Never Had, Hold Expired, and In Transit.
  • Reviewed the following workbooks in Tableau: Circulation Branch Overview and Library Checkout by Date/Time.
