Sisters—some might say that you either love them or hate them, but I suspect that we love our sisters and, perhaps, hate some of the things they do. Some sisters are bossy, some are tattletales, and some are just plain ornery, but when they are all grown up, they can become wonderful friends. It is no surprise that sisters have also become valuable and interesting characters in cozy mysteries. Librarian Phyllis has the lead on some great "sistery mysteries"!

It’s often very difficult to help a child cope with loss; sometimes we don’t know how to process the grief ourselves. Dealing with difficult subjects vicariously through the characters in stories can sometimes help us find the words to discuss what’s happened with our little ones. Sometimes there are no words. Sometimes there are just tears. And that’s okay too. Children's Librarian Josh has carefully selected a handful of books to help your family through the toughest times.

There are people in this world who can re-read their favorite books a number of times without getting tired of them. For me, the book covers are always greener on the other side of the book shelves. Lately, however, I have been thinking back over the years about books that were impressive enough that I still remember them quite well.
