Silly Love - Sizzle in the Stacks

Yes, it’s February, the month of love, but don’t get too carried away. You’ve got the rest of the year to read dramatic love stories, so why don’t you take a break this month and keep it lighthearted and amusing? These titles are all what might be considered romantic comedies, with a hint of naughtiness thrown in.

Pulitzer Prize Possibilities

Our literature blogger Tracy likes literary prizes. Although she rarely predicts the winner, and is often disappointed, she feels the prizes generally do more good than harm. If nothing else, a prestigious literary prize keeps a (usually) good book in print, generates publicity, and hopefully sells a few more copies. Check out Tracy's picks for the gold medal.

Much has been discussed of the war from the perspective of the Allied powers, but were all citizens of these respective nations truly in support of their leaders’ actions? Agatha Christie—have you heard of her? She is probably the best known writer of cozy mysteries, having published her first novel in 1920. She went on to publish 66 mysteries, 14 collections of short stories, and 6 romantic suspense novels. The Guinness Book of World Records lists her as the best-selling novelist of all time.
