Today is #GivingTuesday and it’s our final week of doing S’More for our community – so don’t forget to turn your forms into DVS ASAP! We now have ten teams in the running for the donut delivery prize – we’ll hold the drawing later this week. We’re currently just a few hundred dollars shy of our $15,000 goal. Help us get over the top!

United Way Update (11/14/16)

With just two weeks left in our United Way Campaign we are so close to our goal! Thank you!

We are at 84% to our financial goal of $15,000 and received forms back in from 44% of Metro employees. If you haven’t had the chance to give, please make your gift soon. We currently have 6 teams in the running for a donut delivery and 1 team has met Tim’s stretch goal of having treats of their choice delivered to them.

The new OverDrive is now live!  Our members will be directed to the new experience at https://metrolibrary.overdrive.com on both desktop and in the app.

Please note: The new site may take up to a few hours to switch over for all members.

Covering millions of US and International businesses, Intellect is the Tesla of business databases. With a beautifully intuitive interface, Intellect gives you and your  members access to key ratios, stock information, demographic searches, and industry outlooks.

United Way Update

Our United Way Campaign is off to a grand start, reaching 14% of our goal in just four days! Thank you! Because the United Way is MetroLibrary’s signature community charity, Tim Rogers has a next level challenge… are you ready?!?

Remember, our goal is to raise $15,000 for the United Way. If every employee gave a total annual gift of $30 (that’s a just a bit over $1 per person, per pay period), we could hit the mark easily!

ALERT - Zinio down overnight on November 2nd

Please be advised, the RBdigital Gateway (Zinio) will be undergoing site maintenance Wednesday November 2 between 10pm and 4am EDT. Members may experience a disruption in service and be unable to checkout, read online, or download eMagazines through the app or browser. The administrative site will also be unavailable. We anticipate the downtime to be less than six hours and appreciate your understanding as we prepare for the new app release in early December.

United Way Giving

Today kicks off our annual United Way giving campaign where you will be invited to make a gift to support United Way. Your manager or supervisor will give you a form and a brochure to learn more about giving to United Way and to give you an opportunity to give.

Friends of the Library Membership Campaign

Goals of Friends’ Membership Campaign:

  • 300 total membership added during campaign
  • Reach 60% (1,800) of total FOL memberships for this year (3,000 member goal)
  • Include libraries in promotion of membership
  • Encourage membership sales during campaign rather than at Booksale
  • Encourage online memberships
  • Encourage “Bedtime Stories” Library Members to join Friends

Support from Libraries:

  • Track Membership to specific library
