Gnome Injury Report: Week 1

Print

Gnorm from Warr Acres either leaped or was shoved (there were differing reports from the parties involved) and his hat suffered a minor breakage and bandages were not tolerated by Gnorm (it's possible he might be allergic).

Squidge from Del City seems to be suffering from a temporary loss of his transporation and map directions. It remains to be seen as to whether he will wander the Metropolitan Library wilderness or if he will get back on track. We think he will be provided with new GPS coordinates and find his way back on course. He also apparently got into some sort of scuffle with a 4-year old over a chocolate chip cookie (we have it all on security video) so he needed a few bandages to fix his bruises and scrapes this morning when Tulin came into work.

Brunhilde is in critical condition and is currently in surgery. She suffered a complete decapitation. As you know this is not always completely fatal for a gnome due to their magical powers...but we are awaiting the verdict from the very capable surgeon. Please keep Brunhilde in your thoughts and hope that she may rejoin the Gnomes on the Loose game for the duration. It's quite possible that Brunhilde will be our first fatality. If this is the case I will keep you apprised of any funeral details.

accident prevention!

i think our gnomes have just gotten too excited about their summer project and its making them a little careless! i'm glad to see they are pumped up and enjoying their summer but they need to calm down!

Extra safety training

Remember, all gnomes who are injured must have an extra 30 minutes of safety training if it was a work related injury.

Gnome Disaster

Perhaps a review of the surveillance footage woud determine if foul play were involved. Just from personal experience, I wouldn't trust the word of a gnome on what exactly transpired. Gnomes can be sneaky critters. It's possible the gnome was attempting a criminal act of some type, and has convinced you all that her actions were innocent in nature. Just sayin'.

Gnome Injuries

I just would like to know if anyone filled out the Supervisor's First Report of Injury form? Here's the link in case you need it. http://my.metrolibrary.info/drupal/forms/work_comp_firstreport

Excellent suggestion

I guess I should contact Human Resources about Workers Compensation coverage too. These gnomes are really taking a beating on the job.

Brumhilde Update

Brumhilde was released from surgery yesterday evening. She had several cervical spine fractures, but the spinal fusion was a sucess. Perhaps she will think twice about repelling into hidden valleys to inspect the local flora. Who knew plant enthusiasts had such a wild streak? I gave her medical clearance for travel and packed her back up a little before 8 PM. It appears her ride has picked her up this morning and she should be on her way to BI as we speak.

Gnomes

WOW! that might explain why we didn't get ours in today's mail. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Gnorm, Squidge & Brunhilde. they are all in our prayers.
