Access Services Minutes - July 28, 2020

Welcome: Tricia called the meeting to order, then went over the ground rules and Zoom meeting expectations

Wins: Each attendee shared their current wins at their library to promote positivity, encouragement, and things we are looking forward to at work. This will be continued.

May, July AM meeting summary: Review of the minutes, action items from the May and July AM meetings.

Managing and leading direct reports: Two videos were assigned “Managing High Performers” and “Compassionate Directness” that were discussed. We reviewed key points we each had from the videos as well as discussed challenges we were currently facing at our locations and ways to work through them by offering suggestions/successes we see at our locations.

ASI activity reports: While activity reports are not mandatory, many locations use them to assist with performance development documentation and ways to provide coaching/feedback. Locations that use them were able to share how they assisted their location.

What do you need to be successful?: More training was requested regarding the Performance Development system when it comes to writing mid-point and year-end reviews.
