Introducing SELF-e and Pressbooks

Print

In February, we debuted a new digital collection from Biblioboard to connect readers with eBooks from indie publishers and authors. On April 11th, we’re rolling out new services to enable authors to self-publish their book and submit it to be shared with libraries across the U.S. and Canada. With Pressbooks, you can create, edit, format, and generate print-ready books and/or eBooks.

After finishing your eBook using Pressbooks, you can submit it to SELF-e to be reviewed by Library Journal. If your work is selected for inclusion in the SELF-e collection, it will be added to the collection of Biblioboard subscribers across the U.S. and Canada. Even if the submitted work isn’t selected by Library Journal, it will still be included in our Indie Oklahoma collection, which contains self-published eBooks from Oklahoma authors.

If you’d like to learn more about these new services, sign up for an upcoming training:

If you can’t make it to a training, there are several helpful documents attached to get you up to speed on these services, including a Peter Pan book test file.

Whether it be a regular at your library, a writing group, or a writing contest winner, Pressbooks and SELF-e can help our members live smarter and work smarter.
