Round 2 Project Teams Selected

EPS is pleased to announce the members for our second round of project teams.  Selected project team members submitted an application to EPS along with a reference from their supervisor.  Everyone who applied was appointed to a project team.  

Project teams will begin meeting the week of August 12th.  We are expecting that some more complicated projects may take longer while others will be done by the end of October.  

Engagement - Quarter 2 Project Teams Update

EPS, Engagement Managers, and staff from around the system have been spending this month finalizing several of their Round 1 Project Teams. Part of the process this month has been looking at the timeline for the next round. We want to make sure budget funds are available for the next group before recruiting and launching those teams and ensure that staff can focus on Summer Reading during this busy time of year. To maintain the quality of our collective work, we’d like to add an extra 6 weeks to prepare for launching Round 2.

  • The EPS Steering Committee reviewed the draft FY19 budget requests document created.  

Timeline of announcements and moves

  • The Education and Program Development (EPD) Department will become the Engagement and Program Services (EPS) Department effective Friday, March 9.  
  • Jessica Gonzalez (EM II - Southern Oaks Library), Teresa Matthews (EM II - Downtown Library), and Julia Mcconnell (EM II - Edmond Library) will transfer to the EPS Department on Monday, April 9.

EPS Steering Committee Minutes - February 26, 2018

Welcome and Overview

The meeting opened with a joint cabinet meeting of the children's, teen, and adult groups. We had an overview of EPS' outcome-based planning and evaluation plan, highlighting and summarizing the work that had been done up to this point. A discussion about what system-wide engagement encompassed followed.
