Local Outreach Events in LibraryCalendar

The following are definitions that can be used to understand what types of Outreach Activities should be recorded in LibraryMarket:

• Events – Activities owned by other organizations, with a come and go presence, at which the library has a presence.
  • Examples:  School Back-to-School Fair, Health Fair, Health Fairs, Family Fairs, Myriad Gardens’ Children’s Garden Festival, Kid’s Fest
• Presentations – Visiting a non-library location to present content to a dedicated audience.  Would also include visits to the library from a non-library entity where the library presents to a dedicated audience.
  • Examples:  School Visit to your library, School Assembly Visit, Visit Local Senior Center to discuss eBooks and audiobooks

Note:  Meetings to discuss and plan a library visit to a school or community entity would not be counted as an outreach activity.
