Great training opportunity for library employees! Topics include:
- How to Think Like a Librarian (library history, intellectual freedom, ethics, cultural changes, emergency situations)
- Youth Services (child brain development, program development, reader's advisory, & social roles of libraries)
- Computers and Electronic Resources (general tech, databases, open web evaluation, & internet policies)
- Interpersonal Skills (communication styles, leadership styles, customer service, strategies for problem customers)
- Current Trends and Legislation (laws impacting libraries, purpose of LSTA, & library trends)
Don't delay! Registration is first come, first serve. Each session is a 2-day class via Zoom. Attendees must be present both days to complete the class. Questions should be directed to [email protected].
