This change will take effect on Monday, August 9th.
Support Hours Change
For the last couple of years IT has received very few calls in the evenings or on the weekends. We have been monitoring this for the last six months and found that there really are not enough calls to warrant having a staff member on duty in the office after 6pm or on Sundays. We will continue to have a staff member in the office on Saturday.
If there is an IT emergency, you can still call 405-631-2210. This phone will be forwarded to the IT staff person on call for the week. IT Supplies (Library cards, SR Labels, RFID labels, barcode sheets, or headphones for public computers and for sale) can be ordered here. All other IT service requests can be sent via e-mail to: [email protected].
These are the items that are considered emergencies and should always be called in:
- The ILS System (Carl.X) is completely locked up or down.
- The Internet is down across the system
- The catalog is down/customers cannot login
- Access to the network/Internet is down at a library
- Customers cannot sign up to use any public computer
- Customers cannot print from any public computer in the library (more than two hours before closing)
When you call the department for assistance, we would like to ask that you continue to call 2210 (405-631-2210). This is the phone that will always be answered. If you call a staff member direct, they may be out of the office and their individual phones are not answered when they are out.
In Summary:
- IT will not have a staff person on duty after 6pm or on Sunday beginning Monday, August 9th.
- Please place orders for supplies here.
- When there is not a staff person on duty, please send non-emergency requests to the Help Desk e-mail account: [email protected]
- Emergencies should always be called in to 2210 or (405-631-2210).
