An OverDrive item I forgot to mention

In my OverDrive post last week, I forgot to mention that in addition to the new Buy It Now feature, we are now enrolled in OverDrive’s Affiliate Program. This means that if someone first clicks through our site to go to one of the listed online retailers (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo Bookstore, Library BIN, and Powell’s Books), we will receive a portion of their purchase as a credit towards buying digital titles for our OverDrive collection!

Here’s how it works:

Then, click the logo of the retailer of your choice. With any purchase you make on that site, a portion of the sale will be credited back to us to buy digital titles for our OverDrive collection! At this point, you’re no doubt asking yourself, "Can I support the library with my purchase of a horse mask or my $18,000 purchase of 4lbs of caviar, both from Amazon?" Yes. Yes you can.

So if you happen to know anyone who shops at one of these sites, encourage them to support the library by first visiting this page. Do you use social media? The share this news so your friends and family can easily support the library with their purchases, nonsensical and otherwise!
