Libby is getting an upgrade soon with design changes and new features, including smart tagging, wishlist and tag syncing, search improvements, and notifications for the next issue of a magazine.
To see a preview of these updates, check out this twitter thread that shows screenshots of what's to come.
- New navigation bar: search button and timeline buttons added, menu button moved, shelf button changes colors based on what you're reading
- Updates to tags: new look, description box added, syncing across devices!
- Smart tags: tag magazine titles to get notified when a new issue is published, notifications for ebooks and audiobooks will be added in later updates to get notified of a new title in a series or by an author you love
- Multiple Library Cards: easier to switch between libraries and see wait times and holdings across your cards
We do not have a date yet for when this upgrade will take place in the Libby app, but if you visit libbyapp.com on a desktop, you will see many of these changes already. Check it out and let us know in the comments what you're most excited to see!

I think the ability to import one's Wish List from the OverDrive catalog/app is going to be a big selling point for customers to finally make the switch to Libby. At libbyapp.com this morning, I was prompted to import my Wish List and (granted, it's small list) after refreshing the browser, it showed up in Libby!
This is what I've been waiting for! I've now moved over exclusively to Libby with my insane 1,000-plus item wish list. =)
A 1,000 item digital wish list is easier to manage than a 1,000 TBR pile of physical items at least!
This is true!
I love that I can tag my favorite magazines and can't wait to set up smart tags for all my favorite authors next update!
