Week 8: Summer Reading Update

Happy 8th week of Summer Reading!

Statistics Update

This week's updated data visualizations can be found here. Thank you to Manisha for this week's figures!

As of yesterday, we were up to 11,254 Summer Reading participants, with over half of those participants logging their reading and over a quarter completing the program. We are 86% of the way towards meeting our community goal of 8 million points, with participants logging 6,934,229 points thus far in our Summer Reading challenge!

Prizes and Large Groups

EPS has sent out an email to all Engagement Managers regarding large groups and prizes. EPS and the Summer Reading Logistics Team can send locations prepackaged bundles of youth books so that you will not have to dip into your main supply of prizes. Requests for group book bundles can be sent to any member of the Summer Reading Logistics Team (Teresa Matthews; Margo Engelmann; Jerod Gerfen).

Summer Reading Supplies

EPS has a small supply of Summer Reading rack cards and paper bags left if anyone would like more. Please reach out to Margo Engelmann if you'd like more cards or paper bags routed to your location.

Leftover Programming Supplies

If you have any OKC Museum of Art supplies leftover from this summer's programs, you can hand them out as free take home kits to any customers who are interested. The same applies to Science Museum Oklahoma materials. The Science Museum Oklahoma online content should be available until the end of August.

As always, please check out our Summer Reading Intranet page for assistance with all your questions or reach out to EPS via phone or email; we are here to help.
