Summer Reading Update-Week 9

Happy Final Week of Summer Reading Everyone! 

Below are some helpful reminders, updates, and more. Additional info and reminders will be shared out in early August as we wrap up Summer Reading and finalize numbers. 

Summer Reading Updates & Reminders 

• As of this morning, 16,215 community members have signed up for our Summer Reading program! 
• We are making some great progress towards meeting our community goal; we are 65% of the way there! Our tracker can be found on our website and is updated every Monday by CIS. 
• As a reminder, there is a 2 week (unadvertised) grace period from August 1-14 for prize pickup. Some guests may not have logged their points during June and July due to a variety of factors. Please allow guests to 'backdate' their points earned June 1-July 31 through the August prize pickup window. • Information about summer reading drawing prizes was shared out yesterday by Kristin Williamson; if you have any questions, please let OES know.
• This year's teen volunteer recognition event will be held after hours at the Downtown Library this Friday, July 29, to celebrate the hard work our teen volunteers have done all summer to support Summer Reading. Thank you to the Teen Services staff and volunteer supervisors who are helping to plan and staff the event. If you have any questions about teen volunteers, please contact Heidi Port in DVS.
