Fine Waivers

The one-year trial of going fine free ends in July. At which point, the commission will evaluate the success of the pilot and determine if we will continue being fine free moving forward. The commission has approved fine waivers for this year since the determination of continuing fine free service will occur after Summer Reading has ended.
- Guests will receive one fine waiver upon reaching the 600-point goal
- Fine waivers are good for $6 of fine forgiveness
- Fine waivers are transferable and can be combined
- Fine waivers have no cash value
- Fine waivers can only be used once. If the total amount is not used, the remaining balance is forfeit
- Fine waivers expire on December 31, 2022
- Fine waivers can only be used on overdue fines. They can be used on technology and experience pass overdue fines. They cannot be applied to lost or damaged items, ILL late fees, or other charges to a library account.
