End of Summer Reading Updates

Tomorrow is the last day of Summer Reading! Thank you for all your hard work to make this year's program a success! 

Below are some important reminders to keep in mind over the upcoming days and month. 

Drawing Prizes for June and July 

• Summer Reading drawing prizes have been delivered to all locations; drop off for BI is pending due to their move. 
  • An email was sent to all Engagement Staff and Engagement Managers from EPS detailing this information. More information about this year's drawings can also be found here. 
  • Additional information about this year's drawing prize winners, prize pickup tracking, and more will be sent out next week after drawings take place on August 3. 

Retroactively Logging Points Throughout August 

• While July 31 marks the end of Summer Reading, reading and activity points from June 1-July 31 can be retroactively logged in Beanstack throughout August! This information was shared out on last week's curbside activity guides and will be added to future editions throughout August. Curbside activity guides are available on the All Engagement SharePoint and the SR Downloads page on the Intranet. 
  • Throughout August, libraries can continue to print direct mailers for customers who would like to backlog their reading and activity points on paper! General paper reading logs are also available on the SR Downloads page. 

Summer Reading Prizes

• August Prize Pickup starts August 1 and ends August 31.
• Starter kits of prize materials have been sent out to all library locations. 
  • Additional information about these starter kits was emailed to all library Supply Contacts, Engagement Managers, and Library Managers.
  • Additional prize materials will be available to order through the general EPS Supply Catalog starting August 1. Please check in with your SR Supply Contact regarding how items should be ordered for your location. 
• EPS and PSLT have worked together to craft best practices and basic guidelines regarding Summer Reading Prize Pickup. This information was sent to all Engagement Managers, Library Managers, Regional Directors, and CIS. Using these best practices and guidelines, local management teams at each library location have been working together to develop a prize pickup action plan that best meets the needs of their staff and customers. If you have questions about the prize pickup process, please reach out to your local management team or EPS. 

Summer Reading Statistics 

• Summer Reading stats will be posted next Monday and will showcase systemwide and local participation data for June-July. 
• Summer Reading stats will be posted again in early September and will showcase final SR numbers, taking into account backlogged minutes that were entered throughout August.
