In-Library Engagement (Annie & Kellie)

  • No updates.

Logistics (Teresa)

  • Teresa has created a couple of timelines based on possible May and June reopening dates.
  • Pallets of Scholastic books will likely need to stay at the Service Center beyond August.
  • Teresa is going to contact Dennis to let him know about the change in timeline for moving the pallets out of the Service Center.

Staff & Volunteer Engagement  (Jessica & Emily)

  • Training is being streamlined to a basic online-only training.
  • EPS will hold Zoom office hours so Managers can ask questions.
  • Committee is working with Heidi to determine if summer volunteers will still happen and what that would look like.
  • Emily will update training content (video & voiceover).
  • Jessica will update the SR Intranet pages with the changes to the program.

SR Program Changes

  • One goal for all participants, 10 hours/600 minutes.
  • All participants can select one prize (book or tote bag) for reaching their goal. This includes early childhood, children, teen, and adults.
  • Community goal of 10 million minutes.
  • Read It Forward books will be donated if we reach our community goal.

Summer Reading Engagement (Programs and Software) -  (Kristin, Kellie, and Emily)

  • The Arts Council Oklahoma City would like for us to still plan on Neighborhood Arts happening, for the time being.
    • We will reevaluate this closer to summer.
    • Kristin will follow up with off site locations for Neighborhood Arts regarding possible changes to the performance schedule.
    • All  performers have been contacted to see if they have the ability to do a virtual performance, in the event that in-person performances do not occur.
  • We voted on our favorite tote bags: the Spoticus design was selected.
    • Kristin will submit the RTO and then order the bags from 4Imprint.
  • It was suggested that we look at food pantries and back to school supply drives for possible Read It Forward recipients this year.
  • Kellie, Emily, and Kristin attended the Beanstack Virtual Townhall.  Emily gave an overview of the townhall and some ideas that we could implement.
